Sally has put together a shawl kit. She has chosen Pollinator by Dominique Trad. The kit includes the pattern and yarn. If you would like your skeins wound/balled then you will need to also purchase the ball winding service.
Pollinator is the sister pattern to The Bee Queen shawl and it is also a crescent designed for two colours of fingering weight (4ply) yarn. It is a more casual design featuring garter stitch stripes and a section of simple cable lace reminiscent of the cell structure of honeycomb, a nod to the spread of pollen with bees in flight, and it ends with a border of stingers.
This pattern includes written instructions, charts, and a tick-sheet. It is a very aggressive blocking.
If you would like the kit made up in different colours please email or phone us.
Yarn
MC: 1 skein 100g (sample used 80g).
CC: 1 skein 100g (sample used 85g).
Finished Measurements
Sample: 185 cm wingspan, 56 cm depth at centre.
Tension/Gauge
Approx. 20 sts x 26 rows over garter stitch after aggressive blocking.
Needles & Notions
Pair of 4mm (US 6) needles. I like to use an 80cm circular needle set but straight are fine also.
